YOU YES YOU
A response to the UK’s COVID-era exclusions, this body of work reflects on the millions left without financial support during lockdown. Set against a backdrop of £2 trillion national debt, state-enforced restrictions, and social control through fear and shame, it explores the collapse of shared (creative) spaces and the rise of a snitch society. At its core, the work critiques the pandemic’s unprecedented transfer of wealth — a moment where “so many were owed so much by so few.” You yes you, was selected for, and sold at the RA Sumer exhibition.
